Crust:
1 tsp sugar
1 cup flour
1 cube cold butter
Cut flour, sugar, and butter together using a pastry cutter or food processor and press into bottom and sides of 9" pie plate.
Filling:
1 cup sugar
4 tsp flour
2 eggs, beat well
1/4 cup butter, melted
2 tsp vanilla
Whisk filling ingredients together well.
Slice one home canned quart or #2½ can of pears and arrange over crust. Pour filling over pears. Bake for one hour at 325*F. Test with cake tester in center to make sure custard is set before removing from oven. Serve warm with sweetened whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Also good chilled.
